Aloha, I just finished painting Little Pukas today. 11.5″x13″ in Frame. Medium: Oil paint, 22k genuine gold on a hand cut 18 layer bas-relief in a Mango wood and Abalone Shell inlayed frame. A lot of punch for a lil guy. This was a study taken from a portion of a larger piece that I am still working on. Puka’s Beach is on the North Shore of the island of Kauai and where my mother walks every morning to pick shells from the beach and sip her tea. This piece is named “Little” Pukas because of the size of the painting and not the wave itself which when breaking can be very powerful. Enjoy!
Note: Little Pukas is available to Purchase.
